In 1992, a small company called Big East Sdn Bhd was incorporated in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to manufacture neckties, badges, uniforms and related products to the local governmental and educational institutions.

Through years of committed service to the local embroidery, textile and gifts and premiums sector, Big East earned the confidence of dealers and customers to ensure the delivery of goods of high quality. As it grew in size, a bold decision was made in 1997 to separate the core divisions of the company into self standing corporate entities.

Global Cartel (M) Sdn Bhd was incorporated on 23 May 2000 as part of that vision. The core focus of this new corporate entity is to provide ' embroidery design, digitizing / punching and other related services specifically to the international community '.

Global Cartel's corporate objective is simply ' to provide the international community with high-quality, innovative, cost-effective and reliable products and services '.

We have now decided to create 2 new Divisions; Sourcing Division and the Necktie Division. Nevertheless, our Embroidery Division continues to be our core business.

Global Cartel will continue to be a vibrant and dynamic company. We are proud to state that we are currently on schedule with our corporate expansion strategy and there are no signs of growth slowing.

One of the strategies is to start an interactive secure e-commerce web portal. The portal will provide a wide range of features that we believe will greatly ease the ability to browse, identify, enquire and transact via the Internet for current and prospective customers. As we cater solely to the international community, such a portal will greatly increase efficiency in the enquiry, purchase, transaction and delivery process. Instead of having to mail Global Cartel a raw design, the customer will be able to login into the portal and upload the design. Instead of performing a bank transfers to make payment for services rendered, payments may be made via credit card over secure Internet.
